ABC’s Jim Sciutto to speak at King’s

Jim Sciutto, senior foreign correspondent for ABC News will speak about his new book Against US: The New Face of America’s Enemies in the Muslim World April 1 at 3:30 p.m. in the Burke Auditorium at King’s College.

According to Publisher’s Weekly, the book argues that

anti-American sentiment—once the province of fringe groups—has gone mainstream, becoming in effect, a form of Middle Eastern nationalism, uniting moderates and radicals, Muslims and Christians for whom “freedom implies the freedom from American interference.”

According to his biography, Sciutto has reported from more than 40 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, including multiple trips to war-zones from Iraq to Afghanistan to Israel-Palestine. When he was named senior foreign correspondent in 2006, he was the first person to carry the title since Peter Jennings and Pierre Salinger.

The event is free and open to the public.
