Washington Post internships available

The deadline for the Washington Post summer internship is rapidly approaching, and the newspaper will make two former interns and current employees available for an online chat with prospective students Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Would-be interns can submit their questions before or during the interview with copy editor Caroline Hauser and cops and courts reporter Matt Zapotosky.

A previous online chat with former Executive Editor Len Downie, which was posted earlier today.

Interns are paid beginning reporter salaries for work during the summer months.

According to Downie, “A stand-out applicant these days is able to show us good work in scholastic journalism and/or good work at previous summer internships, plus a well-written personal essay, good recommendations and a solid academic record.”
