‘The Office’ web producer to visit U of S

Joya Balfour, Emmy award winning web producer for the hit TV series ‘The Office,’ will speak to students at The University of Scranton on Friday at 11 a.m. in Room 311 St. Thomas Hall.

In addition to winning an Emmy for Best Broadband Comedy Program, she has also garnered a 2007 Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Television Website.

Balfour is also producer for sites devoted to “My Name is Earl,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Last Comic Standing” and “Lipstick Jungle.” She is responsible for the development and management of these websites, including the creation of engaging and innovative online concepts, web coding and design, advanced scripting and overall usability/standards compliance.
