The Public Relations department at The University of Scranton is seeking candidates for the position of Publications Manager.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining proactive systems to provide design services and consultation to academic and administrative clients and to ensure the efficient flow of publications through the Office of Public Relations; supervising and evaluating the performance of the Graphic Designer/Associate Editor; engaging and managing freelance artists within budget to assist in the completion of projects; ensuring that publications produced by the Department are accurate and consistent with branding standards; serving as editor of the Undergraduate Catalog; and designing publications projects as needed.
The minimum requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, graphic design or related field and three years of experience in publications management, preferably in a higher education setting and with supervisory responsibility, required. Demonstrated experience with desktop publishing software in a Macintosh environment is essential.
